Ahhh yes. The two words that define all cliches of college: spring. break.
While what you see on MTV is promising, the binge drinking, bikini wearing, bar hopping young adults of our future. I believe spring break can be a lot more than that. A lot of my friends are going places to visit family or to do something they wouldn't usually get a chance to do. And yes, some are going to the beach to binge drink and celebrate their freedom from the classroom, if only for one solitary week.
I think that the break was originally intended as a spring rendition of Thanksgiving break. A single week to just do nothing, and give your brain a break, by no means to encourage further drinking and partying by the university's students.
But hey, we all like to have fun. Stay safe and remember that you are the maker of your future. If you wouldn't regret it later in life, then why not? Right?
